If you are going to hire me to train you, then you need to know a bit more about me. I have been a personal trainer for over 10 years, and have been training and learning about fitness for the last 20+ years; it is important to keep up-to-date with any advances in the fitness industry, or even with changes in exercise routines. I keep myself active, and spend a lot of free time in the gym, working on my own fitness and working hard. This is so I can pass on my skills to others, so that they find it much easier to achieve their own fitness goals. Losing weight is difficult, but it can be done. At my heaviest, I weighed more than 300 pounds; which is 21 stone 6 pounds. This is when I decided it was time to change, my weight was just getting out of control, my health suffering. I learned more about nutrition, and how different foods change our behaviour, and change the way we feel, affecting our mood, upsetting our hormonal balance.
I made simple changes to the the foods that I was eating, making healthy food swaps. This is something that I can help you with; helping you make the right choices when it comes to healthy eating. Many years later, I am now a personal trainer, and I weigh 200 pounds. A total weight loss of more than 100 pounds, which is over 7 stone. Yes, you can lose more than 100 pounds and then maintain that weight loss for the rest of your life; you just need to stay strong, and not allow yourself to give into temptation. This doesn't mean that you always have to be strict with your diet though; it is important to allow for 'treats' every now and again. It is often very difficult to maintain a healthy diet when you are avoiding all 'bad' foods, as long as most of what you eat is healthy food. The problem with avoiding certain foods is that eventually, it can become very easy to give into temptation, and then you can find yourself making those same poor choices all over again, and end up gaining a lot more weight.
